All-night chanting in the Stupa from 7pm – 7am, dedicated to:

  • Those who are unwell
  • Departed ones
  • World peace

Groups will be chanting in hourly slots throughout the night. If you wish to participate, please contact us for more details about registering. (Closing date: 12 Sep)

Join us for merit-making activity to tidy up the gardens at Aloka as we move into spring. All welcome, including family and friends.
Date:    Sunday 24 August
Time:    9:30 am – 3pm

*Please RSVP by Sun, 17 August to facilitate lunch arrangements.
If you can assist by providing dana for lunch, please let us know.

If you are unable to come on Sun 24 Aug but would like to help out on another day, please contact Aloka.

What to bring:
– hat & sunscreen
– gardening gloves;
– sturdy, closed shoes or work boots (NO slippers, thongs)
– your own gardening tools (if you have some. Please label with your name)
– water bottle

Bhante and Sister will conduct a special Bodhi puja, dedicated to:

  • Those who are unwell
  • Departed relatives and friends.

Programme

10am              Bodhi Puja  (at the Bodhi tree opposite the Aloka Stupa)

11:30am          Lunch dana  (please bring a vegetarian dish to share)

1:00pm            Australian Buddhist Mission Inc. (ABM) Annual General Meeting (All members welcome)

Important Parking Information:  Parking will not be available opposite the Stupa. This area will be used for passenger drop-off (especially elderly & less-able people) and turning vehicles etc.  After dropping off any passengers, please proceed down the hill to the parking area and Dhamma Hall to deliver dishes for lunch dana. A shuttle car will be available for those who require transport from the parking area to the Bodhi tree.
