See out the old year with 24hr Metta – an initiative to illuminate the world with metta on the last weekend of the year, including:

One World One Time One Metta – 8pm, Sat 28 December 2024

Practise Metta meditation from wherever you are on 28 December 2024 (8.00pm local time) to create a global network of loving-kindness.

 

Metta Sutta Chanting at Aloka – 10-11am, Sun 29 December 2024

Metta chanting of the Discourse on Loving-Kindness at Aloka for world peace, harmony and stability.

 

If you can’t make it to Aloka, we encourage you to join us from home and be part of a collective consciousness of loving-kindness.

This year, we have been privileged to have Bhante and Sister spend the 3-month Rains Retreat (VASSA) in retreat at Aloka, dedicating the merits of their practice for the wellbeing of all members, devotees and sponsors.

The Robes Offering ceremony, which traditionally marks the end of the Rains Retreat, will be held at Aloka on 20 October and we warmly invite you to join us.
